Digital Radiography Equipment

Studio Mura is equipped with the most sophisticated digital radiography equipment (orthopantomograph, intraoral, bite-wing, cone beam), which undergoes regular safety inspections by qualified certifying bodies.

All our radiography equipment reduces radiation by up to 90%. Furthermore, the patient is always shielded from radiation with a leaded apron that protects internal organs, and also with a collar that protects the thyroid gland

What is Orthopantomography?
More commonly called orthopanoramic imaging, this is the radiograph we perform at Studio Mura during the first visit, in order to have a comprehensive view of the patient's teeth, as well as the bony tissues that support them, and also the jaws. It allows us to identify bone pathologies, which will then be defined through specific radiographic investigations.
What are intraoral X-rays?
These are X-rays taken within the mouth for an in-depth investigation. These show each tooth in detail and are performed to assess the presence of cavities, bone support, periodontitis, and periapical lesions (granulomas).

Their use varies as needed: from single X-rays up to full-mouth X-rays. These are then projected onto a special screen where radiographic images of the entire mouth can be seen, offering a complete and accurate clinical view.
What are BITE-WING X-rays?
They are intraoral X-rays that, with a single exposure, allow us to inspect the crown of eight teeth and the periodontal supporting bone.
When do we use a Cone Beam CT?
In cases where we need to assess the extent of jaw lesions, the cone beam radiographic examination gives us a 3D projection of bone volumes. It is critical in computer-assisted implant surgery planning, because it allows us to determine exactly where to place the implants. It is also necessary when extractions are complicated due to bone inclusion and the anatomical proximity of teeth to the maxillary sinus or to the inferior alveolar nerve, such as with impacted wisdom teeth.
What is Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CT)?
This is an in-depth diagnostic radiographic examination that offers a 3D projection of the bone and allows us to assess the volumes of the upper and lower jaw bones, before performing any surgical procedure.

It has the advantage of significantly reducing in radiation, compared to traditional CAT scans.

Digital diagnostic and operative devices

Studio Mura is equipped with state-of-the-art digital devices (intraoral optical scanner, mucosal and tongue screening viewers, digital mandibular kinematics scanner), in order to treat our patients in the most effective way possible, increasing comfort and, at the same time, carrying out thorough investigations aimed at intercepting and preventing potential pathologies.

What is a Digital Dental impression?
It is the impression of a patient's mouth and teeth performed using an intraoral optical scanner: an instrument similar to an electric toothbrush that detects the structure of the teeth and gum tissue by capturing it in digital form, ensuring high precision and quality standards.
What are the benefits for the patient?
It eliminates the discomfort of taking mouth impressions with traditional techniques and materials, greatly reducing procedural time. The scanner is simply passed over all the surfaces of the teeth, as it detects the shape of the entire mouth.
What is a mucosal and tongue screening viewer?
We use this device as a screening method for all our patients. It enables us to detect mucosal and tongue lesions and, once verified in specialized centers, it has allowed for early diagnoses, preventing the aggravation of potential pathologies.
What is a digital mandibular kinematic scanner?
This scanner records mandibular movements, in harmony with the patient's neuromuscular system. These movements - projected onto a monitor - give us additional information that allows us to assess anatomical damage, functional pathologies, and solutions.

Implant Robotics

Implant robotics is a valuable support for planning and performing minimally-invasive surgery, making the procedure even less bothersome.

Operating microscopes

Our medical team operates with top-of-the-line microscopes at very high magnifications, in order to acquire extremely accurate views during surgery and during patient care.

Our team of hygienists also uses high-magnification optics for maximum accuracy in dental hygiene, so that the procedure is less bothersome and more effective for our patients.

Disinfection protocols

For over 40 years, Studio Mura has been using strict room disinfection and equipment sterilization protocols.

Meticulous attention to hygiene, disinfection, and sterilization reflects a commitment to professionalism and high standards. The careful attention to detail demonstrates the dedication of our entire team to every patient.

Active air sanitizers in every room of the clinic, and a constant professional sanitization after each procedure, ensures for the highest levels of safety for both the patients and staff.

Sterilization room

At Studio Mura, we believe that disinfection and sterilization are fundamental.

Rigorous decontamination procedures for the surgical equipment and materials utilized, as well as accurate sterilization protocols, are guaranteed by the world's most advanced top-of-the-line technology.

This technology allows for the strict control and computerized tracking of all the sterilization cycles, guaranteeing for the sterility of all the equipment, as well as each and every tray, both for surgery and for every other dental procedure.

laboratorio odontotecnico

Dental Lab

The lab is adjacent to the Studio Mura dental clinic and is equipped with state-of-the-art and constantly-updated technology. Since it is connected to the clinic, the dental technician and the dentist, as well as the patient, are able to receive feedback and view the lab work in real-time.

Immediate Temporary Prostheses:

The lab allows for the immediate preparation of temporary aesthetic solutions for patients who have suddenly lost one or more teeth and come to the clinic with compromised dental functions and aesthetics. These temporary solutions give our patients the opportunity to return to their daily life and work, while they wait for a permanent solution.

Aesthetic Finalization:

The lab also finalizes the prostheses during the visit. This allows the dentist to immediately verify function, aesthetics, and color with both the patient and the dental technician. These real-time assessments and adjustments, based on a joint observation, give the technician the possibility to make immediate improvements, before the dentist positions the final prosthesis.
